They were hoping that someday I will understand - to choose and prioritize childcare over cleanliness.
And I think - shouldn't I be more strict with cleanliness if/when I have a child?
If they think that living in their filth is the best their life can be - mold, rotten food, vermin and all - then I guess me hoping that they will someday understand me is never gonna happen.
The same way that I will never understand them. I will never sign up for all those grossiness in my life.
I thought it was a common thought that when you have babies you should be more on guard of any source of contamination. I guess it's not as common as I thought.
I don't think I'll be changing my mind on that matter though. For me, cleanliness is part of childcare. And human care in general.
So... I'm taking the exit right here. That's one house I'll never venture into again. Ever.
Hope they wouldn't understand my point the hard way.
