This is Dawn's personal blog. The blog name Orchids in Formaldehyde hints of sweetness and darkness in her views. A paradox of perspective that is sometimes confusingly unpredictable.

On Keeping My Mouth Shut

I know, it's weird. After saying I'm an introvert, shy, aloof in my previous posts, I'm finally saying I can't keep my mouth shut. Lol. I must be lying, you might think. Or being ironic. But I am not (for both).

I have been pretty much a doormat all my life. Any one can make me cry. My siblings in their hastiness in eating left me with no viand and I could only cry in response.

Security guards in high school and college won't allow me to enter the gates for various reasons. Even a nun made me cry in high school! O_o It took parents and/or friends to rally up to my defense and to comfort me from such weird yet unfair situations.

It is because of this (being a doormat) that I have developed some anger management issues. I have bottled up a lot of negative emotions for too long. And if you've watched some movies (comedies actually :/) about this, you would know how explosive and intense it could be. Good thing I didn't develop split personalities. :D

I can't control myself sometimes. It's like the feeling that people are choosing me, zoning in on me to exercise their powers. It's totally unfair!

Like the time when I was a super senior in college and the university guard won't let me in because I'm not wearing a uniform and I could see like 75% or the crowd on the field not wearing uniforms. 3-[ Maybe she (they) thinks I look weak or young that's why she (they) thinks she (they) can bully me into anything.

My boyfriend was actually with me then, and he wasn't wearing a uniform. But he got in, just right before me.

I almost ate that guard's head off in my anger.

And of course, I cried all the way to class.

I even remember the date. January 31. It was my birthday.

Well now I don't experience this kind of power tripping as much. SAs and guards in malls would probably welcome me with open arms with the amount of shopping I do every weekend. Hahahaha.

But online I still find some things that could get my blood boiling. I really am trying to stay off them. When it seems that a post on FB is controversial, I really try not to look into it, just to spare my blood pressure and theirs.

But sometimes a stray post/comment/whatever gets in my way without any warning. And that's when I become the Hulk and seek to destroy the negative thing I see.

I know. I can't destroy "negative" things by just stating out opinions. But my Hulk state doesn't seem to understand that.

And my normal shy self hopes that somehow you can make a difference. Even a little.

If you don't tell the person who's littering to stop littering, will he stop?

Yes, if you tell him, there is a chance he'll get angry at you and you get into a discussion/fight, but maybe (just maybe) he might be conscious of it the next time?

Now that's not so bad.

Or maybe I'm just making excuses for my behavior. :D

But I seriously am trying to be more peaceful and amenable, and that I have to accept the fact that there are people who are inconsiderate, rude, undisciplined life isn't always how you expect it to be.

Spammers Stay Away!

"Nice post! Wanna follow each other?"
"Amazing! I currently have a giveaway on my blog. I would love if you check it out."

I've been blogging for a long time but it's only recently that I've encountered this new breed of spammers. I'm not sure if it's because they've recently been evolved or if I was just personal blogging and hidden away in my remote corner of the web for so long. It is when I've started my beauty blog and met more bloggers, that I've encountered such creatures.

At first I was ecstatic! I have comments! "Of course I will follow you. Of course I'll join whatever giveaway or cult you want me to join." All because of the gratification of being given attention by strangers. Ha!

But these spammers never came back after the "follow operation". I've never seen them again on my blog. And you would know they have this modus operandi because when you check out their blog, their comments section are full of "followed you, now follow me back?" comments.

Whatever happened to genuine posts and genuine comments? Whatever happened to having genuine readers who enjoy reading your posts? Is blogging really all a numbers game?

As much as I would love to have a lot of followers, I still wouldn't prefer it in exchange for having readers who come back because they have connected with me. I don't need your face on my sidebar if it's all for show.

If you can't relate to my posts, then why are you following me in the first place, dang it!

You can't even find time to write your generic "Nice post". Or is that just reserved to those who you want to fool into following you?

My posts on being sad and depressed get "Amazing post!" comments. Like really? That's all you can say? And I've read on another blog where the blogger just came from the hospital and blogged about her ordeal, and someone commented "Nice post" or something. You creatures are low. Either you didn't read the posts or you just didn't care for anyone except yourself. Deeply disappointed.

There is another person who keeps coming back on my beauty blog to ask for "follow for follow" and "join my giveaway". She has been there about 4 times? I don't understand why she won't just follow me first if it's so important to her. Right? Anyway, she did leave a genuine comment in one of my posts, so I'm on the fence whether I will or I won't.

And last thing. :D *evil grin* Those I've followed who operates this way? If I haven't seen them on my blog after I month, I un-follow them. Hahaha.

Guide to Understanding the Introverted

I consider myself an introvert. My sister calls it "anti-social" (as she is one too) but I don't think I can consider myself as such, it's too strong of a word, you know? So when I found this online at quickmeme.com I wanted to share it with you, because I could relate to it, and also maybe to clarify some things about me, so people might not take my aloofness as being rude. :)

How Friends Decided to Pair Off Monica and Chandler & A Pop Quiz!

In lieu of my recent post relating to the TV show "Friends", I have encountered this post online about how the producers and writers decided to off Monica and Chandler, and how the pairing almost never happened. We might have missed out a lot of funny scenarios if that was the case, and what more, they claimed that if the two never hooked up the TV show might have been cut short by 3 years!

This one is fun. A short quiz on some famous "Friends" lines. You have to guess by just looking at freeze frames of the show. Hahaha! And it's in a hangman type of quiz. :D I only scored 8/10 :( Shame. Let's see how well you do. Not that I will hold that over you if ever you do better than me. Hehehe.

Enjoy!

The Rainmaker by John Grisham

I found more of my blog posts from way back when I was blogging in Multiply. That site has now been defunct, but luckily I have saved some of the posts before it went bye-bye. And another thing, I really do have accounts everywhere! And my posts are all scattered across the web. Hehehe. Better organize them all in one place, so I could keep my sanity intact. :D

Here's the review:

Ok, I can’t believe I just read that book. It was about a lawyer and normally, I’m not interested in lawyers and law. But that book got me hooked after a few sentences. I don’t know, maybe it was something I could relate to. Anyway, the story is about a fresh law graduate who can’t seem to find a job. But, he has stumbled upon a couple of juicy cases. He struggled, especially since he’s just a rookie, and his opponent is a large company with one of the biggest firm around to represent them. Yeah, it was a struggle. But he had lots of time, since he doesn't have other cases, and he end up actually winning that case.
What’s sad about this story (and something I would never understand) is that at the end, he gave it all up. After that great victory on that one case, he fled the area. Yeah, as in vowed never to come back. And he’ll never practice again! No, he didn't get the money, the company went bankrupt before he even got a dime. His two other cases? One was a will for an old lady of maybe forty millions worth, but ended up with only forty thousand. The old lady was lonely, so she made up the story of inheriting millions of money from her late 2nd husband to get the attention of her family. The other case was a divorce. But the girl ended up killing her husband because he’s been beating her for years. Of course, our lawyer got the girl. They've had this thing going on even before the divorce and the death of the husband. I think that’s the only part of the ending I was satisfied with. But they left, to go to the mountains with only two thousand dollars in their pockets! I hate the ending so much! It was just his first case, and he got famous for it, and after all the struggle?! And I was just beginning to understand a lawyer's world, and now he doesn't want anything to do with it? But still, I'd give this book 4 stars out of 5 because it was an easy read, and it got me interested in something I never imagined I would be.

Worst Morning Ever

This was one of those rare days when I wake up at 8am even though I went to bed at 5am. My elder brother is coming this weekend, so I have a lot of chores in preparation for that. Although, I do chores regularly, just not as panic-stricken as I was today.

It wasn't my best morning. Not because of the chores, but because everything has mortifyingly gone wrong. :/ First, there was a strong wind outside (which really uplifted my spirits) but toppled over our makeshift drying rack outside our window on the ledge. It was actually a real drying rack, it's just that the location is makeshift. :D

So, all my laundry (almost dry clothes) are lying on the ledge. And that ledge has never been swept and somewhat covered with dry leaves from a nearby tree. Good thing my clothes didn't get too dirty, I just dusted them and they seem okay. But not my brother's shirt. -___- Among the clothes I hung to dry was my brother's white polo shirt, and that one was more damp than the others because I laundered it at dawn. :/

So, off I went and spot laundered it, which didn't seem to take all the dirt out.

And then I learned that I haven't picked up all the fallen clothes yet. One was lying beneath a tree branch (the tree could actually creep over our window if we let it). That one I couldn't seem to reach, even with the help of an umbrella hook. -.- In the end, I went over that window to stand on the ledge and pick it up. The problem now is, I can't seem to get back in! From the inside, I had a chair to stand on. Argh! I was getting worried and embarrassed because I think people from across the street could see me there standing and trying to get in. It's a good thing though that there are panaflex signs along that ledge, as the ground floor consists of commercial stalls, so I wasn't afraid of falling. I was thinking of just sitting down there and waiting for my brother to arrive but then I remembered I locked the door from the inside. -___- And then I seriously contemplated crawling over to the neighbor's window and ask for passage and assistance there. Haha.

I finally got in (through our own window) by leveraging myself with our drying rack and some tree branches. :D

Wait, that's not all that happened this morning. Around lunch, I went out to find myself some food. I decided to go to Savemore which is at the next barangay. Just around 20 mins walk. :D I was almost there when I noticed that I have 2 different slippers on! O_o Most mortifying moment of my life! I've heard a few people laugh along the way but I never paid them any attention because I'm not self-conscious that way. Argh! They were actually laughing at me!

I have actually noticed while walking that one of my slippers are tighter than the other, but I just shrugged it off because I am a leftie and my left foot is actually a little bigger than the right.

They're different colors too! It was so blaring obvious! Argh!!!

So, guess what? I've got myself some new slippers. ^w^ I bought it at Savemore. I almost bought at the sidewalk vendor right where I've noticed this idiocy, but the vendor wasn't around. So I forced myself to walk into Savemore looking like a lunatic / hobo.

I even asked the cashier if she has some scissors and if I could borrow them. Lol! I was really desperate to get on those new slippers. Hahaha. Yeah, in hindsight it's pretty funny!

She didn't have any, and the bagger went and looked for some. I told the cashier it's okay and went to buy food at the food stalls and borrowed scissors there. :D

So what did I get from this horrible morning?

  • new slippers!
  • lesson to check myself before hurrying out the door
  • lesson to plan ways to exit / escape before going in *for the kill*
  • lesson to make drying rack foundations sturdier
  • that I am not a morning person
Lessons 3 & 4 ~ total brain lapse on my part. I mean, I should already know that.

Similarities Between The Shows "Friends" and "How I Met Your Mother"

Both shows are my favourites. I have watched Friends  and How I Met Your Mother extensively. I have watched reruns of Friends on TV and even if I've just watched it, I would watch it again. As for How I Met Your Mother, it's on its final season now and I would be sad to say goodbye, but like Friends I would never get tired of watching it again and again. :D

Having watched both shows extensively, I have to say, there are a lot of similarities between them. There are parts where the situation seems familiar, that is because I’ve already encountered it from the other show. What then are the similarities between these shows, aside from being just sitcoms of a group of friends?

The On-Again-Off-Again Relationship. Plus a third friend who got involved.
In Friends it’s between Ross and Rachel. They get together and then they fight, got together again and broke up. It’s happened so many times I just can’t count how many times they became an item and how many times they broke up. There was also an instance when Joey got involved with Rachel. But that didn’t work out. In the end, Rachel ends up with Ross.

In How I Met Your Mother, the on-again-off-again relationship is between Ted and Robin. Ted is pretty hung up with Robin but he has to admit that it’s not meant to be. It has also been known from the first episode when Ted is narrating to his kids that she will one day just end up as “Aunt Robin”.

Barney got involved with Robin in some episodes in season 4 and they ended up getting married.

What’s his job?
Nobody knows what Barney’s job is even though there are lots of scenes of him in his office. If asked, he shrugs and doesn’t answer.

For a time in the earlier episode of Friends nobody knew Chandler’s job. There was even a question in a trivia game between Monica/Rachael and Joey/Chandler; Rachael answered “transponster” to the question “What is Chandler’s job” which made them lose the game because as Monica said “transponster is not even a word!” It was later revealed that it was “Statistical analysis and data reconfiguration” before he quit and pursued a career in advertising.

Professor and Traits.
Ted and Ross are professors even though they had different career paths in the beginning of the shows. Ted is an architect while Ross is a palaeontologist working at a museum. They later became professors teaching in their own chosen field.

Both Ted and Ross are highly intellectual and have annoying habits of correcting people’s grammar. They’ve also been known to bore anyone when they give their “lectures” on Architecture and Paleonthology respectively. Their friends have always joked about falling asleep or making funny noises whenever they ever mention anything remotely “intellectual.”

Difficulty getting Pregnant.
Married couples Monica and Chandler of “Friends” and Marshall and Lily of “How I Met Your Mother” are trying to get pregnant. But in some episodes they have trouble and seek out professional help. Monica and Chandler soon found out that that they can’t bear a child. They finally decided to adopt and by the end of the series they have themselves twins.

Marshall and Lily soon got pregnant in season 7.

Womanizer has childish qualities.
Barney for “How I Met Your Mother” and Joey for “Friends” are known to be womanizers who can get any woman they want. What’s weird is, they both have childish qualities that’s weird for any “macho” guy. Not only their selfishness in sharing food, but Barney’s love for laser tag and high-fives and Joey’s pet duck and chick would sometimes make you wonder if they’ve got issues that made them who they are.

The Head Scratcher.
When Phoebe talks about his past when her mother committed suicide or when she was still living in the streets, the group is either appalled or doesn’t know what to make of the information. The same way with Robin. When she talks about her childhood, acts according to her accustomed life or mentions anything Canadian, her friends would find it unusual. They even make fun of her because of it. Among the groups, it is Phoebe and Robin who are often misunderstood.

Both shows are different but in some ways also similar. Maybe it’s because I love one, that’s why I love the other. If you do enjoy watching one of them, then I’ll recommend that you watch the other, as I’m sure you would love it too.

Cousin's Day Out

This is such a late post, but I'll post it anyway. :) Been waiting for the other photos taken by the other members of the group, but it never came my way, so I'll just have to make do with what I have. And what I have is way too few to make a decent post.

But then who cares? :D I'll just have to bug some people and maybe update this when I get them. :D

My cousin (the only other family related to us in Zamboanga) was here in Manila last October. It took some prodding on my part to get us together to hang out 'cause my brother is busy like hell :P. We finally agreed on a day, and to meet at MOA because they wanted to ice skate -.- and although it took us a couple of hours to get there, and another couple of hours of waiting *grrr*, we finally got together to decide what to do and where to go - impromptu style.

We definitely pigged out first. Hehe. We went to Pizza Hut and ordered like we haven't eaten for days. We ended up with a doggy bag (takeout bag) because we can't finish everything on the table. But the food was great, don't get me wrong. I just wish my tongue can concentrate on one thing at a time. :D Hihihi.

The Last Supper

Japan-Japan
The eldest among us was the most childish. :/
My cousin on the right is a little shy. *or a lot*

That's me doing a selfie. :)

That's me and Caye on the other side of the table.

We went window shopping next, checked out the skating rink then backed out (hihi), and then they decided to go on the tallest Ferris wheel in Asia (I believe that's the claim?) T.T  I really didn't want to, and when we got there, I staged a walkout just to get away. I'm sure reasoning out that I'm seriously scared isn't going to change their minds as to forcing me in. Sometimes reasoning out to people doesn't work. Best way is to leave. They can go without me, thank you very much. Anyway they didn't ride as well, and they found me by the fountain. :)

By the carousel with Fritzie. We had to take this photo quick because kuya was already making a beeline for the skating rink.

Got sidetracked by Darth Vader. :) And yet we totally covered him in this photo. Fail!
Darth Vader is actually made up of lego!
By the way, that's Jona, kuya's friend from Zamboanga too. :)

We decided to watch a movie next. Caye didn't come with us because he has to get home early (or earlier than us, since it was already late) because he still has some home work to do. Hehe.

We watched Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2. And it was so much fun! Berry is so cute. ^w^ My brother was thinking of getting snacks but we seriously don't know where we're gonna put them in our bodies. It is such a rare occasion that an offer for free food is turned down. Hehe.

We went home afterwards since the mall has already closed and there's nothing else to do. :D

The Adventures of Tintin

I've watched the movie a few times, and earlier today while eating, and I have to say, I feel like a kid again. Not only is the movie an adaptation of the old comic book of the '30s, and also not because it has been adapted into tv shows for the young, but because as a child I have played detective with my friends and siblings.

Growing up to Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys and the less serious Sweet Valley Kids (the spy series they published) my friends and I have imagined ourselves spies as well, trying to solve mysteries around us though I doubt now if they were indeed mysteriesHaha.

It was all part of child play and of growing up. It is a refreshing interlude to the usual running around (which I hated to do) or the barbeque-cooking games my sisters and I played at home. And it played more to the logical part of our development, compared to the physical of running around and the resourcefulness and creativity of the leaf barbeque games.

Tintin is a kid too. *I'm still wondering how a kid could be that smart.*But in this 2011 movie adaptation, he  solved the mystery of the Secret of The Unicorn. Sounds like a fantasy, right? But it isn't. The Unicorn here is a ship. A three-masted ship of Yore. Lol. Scratch out Yore, just got carried away.

In this movie, producers combined three of the original stories, all revolving around the main theme, The Unicorn and its hidden treasure.

I am really not the type to spoil. So I trust that what I've said is enough to get you interested?

And don't forget the doggie, Snowy! He's absolutely adorable! And intelligent too. *Why is it I'm not questioning the dog's intelligence but I do the kid's? LOL. I'm biased to dogs I think.*

Mortal Instruments: City of Bones

Originally posted in Bookish Beast. This post was written September 17, 2013.

Last weekend my boyfriend and I got to watch the Mortal Instruments movie. It was really impromptu because I usually make a big deal out of watching a movie in theaters. I want it to be planned, so I could bring with me a jacket or a scarf, having found theaters to be arctic. But last Saturday, I came with a jacket because the weather was rainy, so I didn't have any excuse to set another date.

My boyfriend had always commented on the poster whenever we pass by it. He was always curious about the movie, saying it is a book and if I think it's good. Too bad for him I haven't read it or heard about it. So, tadaa! No surprise to having myself being drawn into watching it.

To tell the truth, I only thought about that movie now, on a Monday morning. I guess I could say that I find the movie lacking. It has no lingering effect. I couldn't even remember myself thinking about it right after it finished and we went home. Not that it wasn't good, it just doesn't have an implication in my life, nothing to make me think. Or probably because it barely made it seem like the situation is dire or something. It's just lacking. That's how I could explain it best.

The title Mortal Instruments and City of Bones I would even question. City of Bones? She (the protagonist Clary) spent probably 5 minutes there. :/ And Mortal Instruments? I thought the movie of something like kungfu-ey or something arcane/witchcraft but lo and behold it was about angels and demons. So weird.

I do like the ideas of runes for spells that they tattoo on their bodies, but with the size they make them, there's only so much space for canvas. And I don't like tattoos very much, I'm not that kind of girl. Clary on one scene used a rune to clean up their apartment after a massive attack. Oh girl, I've watched too many witchcraft shows to say that it was a bad move. Don't use magic for personal gain, especially ones that going to be permanently marked on your skin.

After all these opinions, some I've texted to my boyfriend, he suggested that I read the book so I could understand it better. I think that is a good idea. Usually I have read the books of the books-turned-movies so before/during/after the movie, I have a lot to tell him in ways to explain, but now I have nothing but questions and complains. Lol! I know how movies suck compared to their book counterparts. So yeah, I'm gonna get myself on the Mortal Instruments train.

I do have the Hunger Games and the remaining books of the Outlander series in my ebook reader as of the moment, so I'm not particularly sure when I'll be able to get to this.

So, I'll let you know my thoughts on it when I do. ;) Have a nice day!

Five On A Friday: Food

My friend Javie and I had decided to take down our co-authored blog Bookish Beasts, because we can't update it regularly since we're also keeping other blogs. So, I'll be moving some of my posts there into this blog, because it'll be a waste to just have it be deleted.

This post is actually a collab post where we list down 5 things according to a specified topic. We have quite a few posts like this and I am planning on keeping this for future posts. From now on, instead of searching the same blog for the collab article, I'll be providing the link to the other post on the personal blog owned by said friend.

If you want to join the collaboration, let me know so I can add your link into my post as well. This will be fun, right? I would also love to hear topic suggestions for future posts. :) So here's my first one. Enjoy. :)

Here's my top 5 favorite foods, to keep up with Beastie's last week's post. I'm sure she has something new for this Wednesday, but I just couldn't pass up the chance to talk about my faves, especially since I have salivated over hers the last time.

So here they are in no particular order:

1. Mashed Potatoes

This is my ultimate comfort food. A few years ago, one of my previous jobs was right next to a KFC branch, and I gained a lot of weight. People said it was because I enjoyed my job so much, they just didn't know I had mashed potatoes every lunch!

2. Milk tea

I enjoy it both hot and cold. It's a good replacement for hot coffee, especially if you want to change your sleeping patterns but need something to perk you up for now. And the cold milk tea (enjoyed best with pearls) is such a great way to cool off summer's intense heat. And they're so popular now, you can buy them anywhere. They even have them in different flavors. Come on, if you don't enjoy pearl milk tea, then something's wrong with you.

3. Blueberry Cheesecake

Hihihi. One of the rare desserts I enjoy so much. It's making me giddy just thinking about it. What I love about it? The cheesecake isn't too sweet, and it melts in the mouth almost. The blueberries, they're sweet and tart, and considered a fruit (so it's healthier?). And the crust doesn't overpower the cake, it also adds a nice crunch.

4. Carbonara

Everyone who knows me pretty well knows I hate spaghetti and I love carbonara. Spaghetti out, carbonara in. I especially hate Filipino style spaghetti, the ones that taste like Jollibee? I don't understand why people want to recreate that. I am not being a snob (or maybe I am), but the pinkish color puts me off, the soggy noodles remind me of Maggi and sick days, not to mention the cut noodle lengths that make it just a tad longer than a grain of rice, :( and the flavor itself doesn't do it for me. Granted, I have tasted some spaghetti that were absolutely delicious (firm, uncut noodles, red orange sauce, and the taste of herbs and meat dominating everything) And no, hot dogs don't go into my holy grail of spaghetti.

But finding the ones that I do like, over the popularly wide-spread Filipino style is such a risky business (you do want me to finish my food, right?) So, instead of ordering spaghetti, I go to my fail-safe Carbonara.

No, I do really love the taste of Carbonara. It isn't just my rebound pasta. I love the taste of milk, cream, cheese and butter. It has such a mild taste. Ham or bacon adds a touch of sharp flavor and texture. It would be a great plus if there are herbs involved, and mushrooms and whatnots.

I usually cook this at home when there's a special occasion. :) My bestie Beastie had given me tips on how she makes hers, so now not only does our carbonaras probably tastes similar :P , my dish has actually improved. That recipe is sure going to be passed down generation to generation. ;)

5. Bicol Express

LOL! We finally have something in common B. (OMG! We're B and S, but I wanted to be Blair :(  )Bicol Express, I love it! I just wish there isn't too much fat in it sometimes. But other than that, just one of the few spicy foods I can handle (or worth suffering for).

My first taste of this was when my elder brother cooked it for us, and he had green leafy vegetables in it. I thought that was how the dish was really served. But now knowing otherwise, I do wish there's some leafy vegetables in it sometimes, so I wouldn't feel so guilty eating it. :[

So there you have it, my top 5. Are you salivating yet? No? Just me? :) Let us know your insights then, down in the comments. :) Happy salivating everybody!

Home by Gabrielle Aplin

Let me share with you my favorite artist for quite a few months now. I just can't get enough of her music. Just the kind of music I really love to listen to. I'm not much of a pop fan, although I do listen to it, along with other genres of music. But what I'm really into is country music such as this. :D

Gabrille Aplin isn't "mainstream" though. She's English and is big in UK, but most Americans and others from around the world haven't heard of her yet. Oh, her music is like sweet nothings to my ear. All her songs are catchy and I just can't decide what I love best among them. I do find myself repeating Panic Chord in my head a lot of times, just out of the blue even when I haven't listened to it for days. I highly suggest listening to her, she's amazing!

Anyway, I've decided to share this particular song to all of you since it's almost holiday season and we're all thinking of home/going home. :D I know I am! I've already booked a ticket! *Although I might have to rebook that because of a particular event.*

So, here's Gabrielle Aplin with Home. :D

I'm a phoenix in the water
A fish that's learnt to fly
And I've always been a daughter
But feathers are meant for the sky
So I'm wishing, wishing further
For the excitement to arrive
It's just I'd rather be causing the chaos
Than laying at the sharp end of this knife

With every small disaster
I'll let the waters still
Take me away to some place real

'Cause they say home is where your heart is set in stone
Is where you go when you're alone
Is where you go to rest your bones
It's not just where you lay your head
It's not just where you make your bed
As long as we're together, does it matter where we go?
Home home home home

So when I'm ready to be bolder,
And my cuts have healed with time
Comfort will rest on my shoulder
And I'll bury my future behind
I'll always keep you with me
You'll be always on my mind
But there's a shining in the shadows
I'll never know unless I try

With every small disaster
I'll let the waters still
Take me away to some place real

'Cause they say home is where your heart is set in stone
Is where you go when you're alone
Is where you go to rest your bones
It's not just where you lay your head
It's not just where you make your bed
As long as we're together, does it matter where we go?
Home home home home home home home

'Cause they say home is where your heart is set in stone
Is where you go when you're alone
Is where you go to rest your bones
It's not just where you lay your head
It's not just where you make your bed
As long as we're together, does it matter where we go?
Home home home home

New Template + New Outlook

I've got a new template, y'all! ^___^ What do you think? Well, I love it. I hope you like it too. About time I change it cause I've been bored with the other one, causing me to lag at posting regularly. And if I did post, it's usually depressing ones. Hehe. Sorry! ^___^

With a new template hopefully a new outlook in life. Hurray! So stay tuned how I fare. Hehehe. It may be too early for resolutions but it's never too early to change when you feel like change. Right?

I hope I'm not blabbing into incomprehension. Lol. What a manic depressive I am such!

Anyway, for more news, which is causing me to be manic, I've been seeing some steady earnings on my other blog: Keep Calm and Beautify so if you're into cosmetics and skincare, I would love if you check it out. I've been working so hard at it. :D

I'm only earnings cents there, really. Hihi, not like I'm getting rich any day now. But it's still nice to be earning while doing something I consider fun. :D That's one reason why I think I'd work on this blog as well. It may not have a niche, except if you call manic depression a niche, so I might not be able to network this at all.

Be that as it may, I believe a change in perspective would benefit me. So, here I am! ^____^

That's all for my update. Wish me luck!
